Our History

In 2007, Healthy Kids Programs was established when the New Windsor Y split into two types of organizations. The New Windsor Y retained its free grant-funded programming and spun off its fee-for-service programs – the fitness building and childcare programs - into separate, independent companies with two different brand names: the Healthy Kids Program and the Union Avenue Community Fitness Center. Ever since, Healthy Kids has been singularly focused on extended-day, summer camp, and early learning programs and providing affordable and accessible childcare to families. We have gone from one location in New Windsor, NY to over 100 throughout New York, New Jersey, Pennslyvania, and New Hampshire.

Our Mission and Philosophy

The Healthy Kids Program's mission is to be the leading before and after school, summer camp, and early learning program provider, in terms of both the number of locations and the quality of the program.

To do this every interaction you have with each of the children we serve has to be of the highest quality.

Our focus is to provide a positive, engaging, and stimulating experience that promotes each child's social/emotional, physical, and cognitive development. We want students to become happy, ethical, successful adults and to this end, we dedicate ourselves to providing a safe, healthy, and fun-filled environment for everyone.
