Nineteen years ago, Healthy Kids Programs began with a simple belief: every child deserves a place where they feel safe, supported, inspired, and free to be a kid.
What started as a single program has grown into a mission shared across 17 states, serving thousands of children and families through before-school programs, after-school programs, summer camps, schools-out programs, early learning centers, and Universal Pre-K partnerships.
As we celebrate our 19th anniversary, we are filled with gratitude for the families, staff, school partners, and communities who have trusted us to be part of their journey.

2007: Healthy Kids Programs is Founded

2010: Expanding School Partnerships
Healthy Kids Programs begins partnering with additional schools and communities, bringing quality before- and after-school care to more families.
2015: Growth Across New Communities
The organization expands beyond its original footprint, serving more children and families while maintaining a mission-first approach.
2018: A Broader Vision for Child Care
Healthy Kids Programs grows its offerings to include summer camp, schools-out programs, and expanded support for working families.
2020: Supporting Families Through Unprecedented Times
During one of the most challenging periods for families and schools, Healthy Kids Programs adapts quickly to continue serving children and communities when they need support most.
2021-22: Multi-State Expansion Accelerates
The organization expands its reach into new states, strengthening partnerships with schools and community organizations across the country.
2023, 2024 & 2025: Inc. 5000 Recognition
Healthy Kids Programs earns a place on the Inc. 5000 list of America's Fastest-Growing Private Companies.
2025: Certified Benefit Corporation
The organization becomes a Certified Benefit Corporation, reinforcing its commitment to balancing growth with purpose and positive community impact.
2026: Investing in Families
Healthy Kids Programs launches an employer-paid childcare benefit, helping team members access childcare while pursuing meaningful careers.
2026: 19 Years of Impact
Healthy Kids Programs celebrates 19 years of serving children, families, schools, and communities through more than 150 locations across 17 states.

At Healthy Kids, our mission is to build places where children thrive, families flourish, staff find inspiration, and communities benefit. Over the past 19 years, that mission has guided every decision we've made—from opening new programs and expanding into new communities to investing in our team members and strengthening partnerships with schools.
While much has changed since 2007, one thing has remained constant: our commitment to creating spaces where children can learn, grow, build friendships, and simply enjoy being kids.
