We proudly partner with Kentucky State's child care assistance program to help make our services more affordable to families. Whether your child is just starting out or needs care during the school year or summer, we're here to support you every step of the way.
Is My Family Eligible?
Check the requirements below to see if you qualify
Eligibility Requirements
✓ Your child is a resident of Kentucky and either a U.S. citizen or qualified legal immigrant.
✓ Your child is under 13 years of age. There is an exception for children 13 to 19 years of age if your child has a disability
✓ You fit one of the following scenarios:

You work an average of 20 hours per week as a single parent and your income is less than child care income limits.

You work an average of 40 hours per week as a couple and your income is less than income limits
-
Your are a teen parent attending a high school or pursuing a GED.
-
You are currently participating in the SNAP Employment & Training Program.
-
You are a an adult who is a full time student at a certified trade school or accredited college or unicversity.
-
Your participate in Kentucky Works activities.
-
You need child care as a support for child protective/ preventative services
-
You are looking for employment
Eligibility is redetermined every 12 months and families must recertify annually.

What Documentation Do I Need?
Gather these documents before you apply
Proof of Identity
Driver's license or state ID, birth certificates, social security cards
Proof of Income
Examples may include: Recent pay stubs (typically last 4-8 weeks), employer verification letter, most recent tax return (especially for self-employed families), proof of other income:

Child support

Unemployment benefits
-
Social Security (SSI/SSDI)
-
Disability or pension income
Proof of Work, School, or Training (Activity Requirement)
Families must show they are engaged in an approved activity:

Work schedule or employer letter
-
School or college enrollment verification
-
Job training program documentation
-
SNAP Employment & Training participation (if applicable)
Proof of Kentucky Residency
Examples may include: statement from landlord, mortgage records, or current lease, mail with address
Child Information
For each child needing care you will need to provide: birth certificate (or proof of age), custody or guardianship documents (if applicable) and proof child lives in the household
Child Care Provider Information
Families must provide provider name, location of child care and schedule (days/hours of care needed)
Additional Documents (If Applicable)
Depending on the family situation:

Court custody orders

Foster care or kinship care paperwork

Disability or special needs documentation

Proof of job loss (if applying under job search eligibility)
Accepted document types include: PDF, DOC/DOCX, JPEG, or PNG
Certain documents may fulfill more than one requirement.
