In today’s world, flexibility isn’t a luxury- it’s a necessity. As we move through 2025, more families are navigating shifting work schedules, hybrid jobs, and the ever-changing demands of parenting.
That’s why we launched Same-Day Drop-In Care—a new feature designed in direct response to what we’ve heard from our families:
“Sometimes, I just need a safe place for my child—today.”
Whether you're dealing with an unexpected meeting, a babysitter cancellation, or simply need a moment to breathe, we want to be the partner you can count on.
What Is Same-Day Drop-In Care?
Same-Day Drop-In Care gives you the flexibility to request care with just a few hours’ notice at select Healthy Kids locations. It’s designed to make your day a little easier—without needing a full-time commitment.
You can now book:
Before School & Summer Camp: With 1/2 hour’s notice
After School: With 3 hours’ notice
As long as there’s space available, your request is automatically approved through your Playground Parent Portal.

How Does Payment Work?
Drop-in care is a prepaid, one-time charge and must be paid at the time of booking.
For families using subsidy assistance: Please do not submit a request through the Playground portal. Instead, contact registration@healthykidsprograms.com or call us at 845-330-0200, and we’ll manually add the drop-in request and ensure your parent share is correctly applied.
