In addition to state-run subsidies, Healthy Kids works with a variety of scholarships and partners with programs like Child Care Aware® of America to help families access affordable, quality childcare.
School & Community Scholarships
Some sites participate in regional or district-level scholarship programs such as:
County or nonprofit scholarships: Partner agencies, like workforce development or community grants like the Dyson Foundation, may offer support based on household income.
Tip: If you know of an agency or scholarship that is not listed on our website, reach out to us. We would be happy to explore more options for our families.
Military & Child Care Aware® of America
Healthy Kids is a registered provider with Child Care Aware®, offering access to:
Military Child Care in Your Neighborhood (MCCYN) and MCCYN-Ex programs—fee assistance for active duty and National Guard families
Respite and fee assistance programs for military families under the Department of Defense
These programs offer financial support for eligible military families, and Healthy Kids manages all required paperwork submission.
Employer-Sponsored Scholarships & FSAs
In addition to community and military aid, many families are eligible for employer-sponsored assistance such as:
Flexible Spending Accounts (FSAs): Many employers offer Dependent Care FSAs, allowing you to set aside pre-tax dollars to pay for eligible childcare expenses, including Healthy Kids tuition. Check with your HR department to see if your childcare costs qualify.
Employer Subsidies & Scholarships: Some companies offer direct scholarships or reimbursement programs to help offset childcare costs for their employees. These programs vary by employer, so be sure to ask your benefits manager or HR team.
If you're using an FSA or employer-based reimbursement, we’re happy to provide detailed receipts or statements through your Playground Parent Portal to support your claims.
