Arrival & Pick-Up Procedures

Ensuring your child’s safety during drop-off and pick-up is one of our top priorities. Please review and follow the procedures below to help us maintain a secure and smooth transition each day.

Morning Drop-Off (Before School Program)

• Drop-off begins at the program's designated start time, which varies by location. Children can not be dropped off earlier than the program start time.

• A parent/guardian must walk the child into the building and check them in using the Playground Parent App.

• Children cannot be left unattended outside the building.

• Staff will ensure your child is safely transitioned into the program and school day.

  
  

Afternoon Pick-Up (After School Program)

• Children must be checked out using the Playground Parent App by a parent, guardian, or authorized pickup contact.

• Authorized individuals must be listed in your Playground Parent Portal and may be asked to show photo ID.

• Pick-up must occur by your program’s designated closing time.

  
  

Late Pick-Up Fees

To ensure fairness and respect for our staff’s time, the following late pick-up policy is enforced:

• If you are going to be late, please message the program to notify us.

• A $5 fee will be charged for every 5 minutes you are late. This fee will be added to your billing payment.

• Continued lateness may result in temporary suspension from the program.

• Please plan accordingly and have a backup pick-up contact listed in your Playground Parent Portal in case of emergencies.

  
  

How to Check In and Out Using Playground

Managing attendance is quick and easy with the Playground App:

1. Open the Playground App on your smartphone

2. Tap “Check In/Check Out” at your child’s program location

3. Confirm your child’s name and program

4. Tap the ✅ check mark to complete the process

Most of our locations utilize a QR code, which will be posted at the site location. If you're an authorized pickup but not the account holder, you can still check the child out if listed.

Authorized Pick-Up List

• Only individuals listed in your Playground Parent Portal will be allowed to check your child out.

📌 Important: The person who registers the child is responsible for inviting any additional primary guardians or authorized pick-up people to the Playground App, so they have access to check children in and out of the program.

• Need to add someone? Log in to Playground and update your authorized contacts.

• Written permission is required for any unlisted pick-up changes.

  
  

Safety & Custody Policies

• Children will not be released to anyone appearing impaired. If necessary, authorities will be contacted.

• Custody documents must be on file if your family has court-ordered restrictions.
