To maintain consistent staffing, ensure quality care, and meet licensing requirements, Healthy Kids enforces the following billing and payment policies for all families, including those receiving tuition assistance.
Late Payment Policy
Tuition is due on the 15th of each month for most programs (for the following month’s care).
Invoices are sent 3 days prior to the due date as a reminder.
If tuition is not paid in full or fails to process by the day after the due date, a $15 late fee will be added to your account.
Students may not attend programs with unpaid balances.
Weekly Payment Locations
For families at weekly-billing locations, tuition is due every Wednesday for the upcoming week of care.
If payment is not received on time, a $15 late fee will apply.
If your account becomes more than two weeks overdue, your child may be suspended from the program until the balance is paid in full.
Failed Payments & Disenrollment
Families with three or more failed or late payments may be subject to disenrollment.
If full payment is not made by the 1st of the month, your child will be suspended from the program until the balance is resolved.
If your child does not return after the suspension date, you are still responsible for tuition up to that date.
Subsidy Families – Additional Policies
Families receiving state or county tuition assistance must also follow these guidelines:
Weekly Parent Share payments are due every Wednesday.
A $15 late fee will be charged for missed or late parent share payments.
If your parent share becomes more than two weeks overdue, your child may be suspended from the program.
All outstanding balances may be reported to your caseworker and could impact your eligibility for continued benefits.
Failure to provide timely documentation or to recertify before your approval expires may result in loss of coverage and full tuition charges.
Important Notes
All tuition must be paid through the Playground Parent Portal.
Tuition payments are non-refundable, even if your child is absent or disenrolled. See: No Refund Policy Explained
Outstanding balances from disenrollment remain due in full.
